Rule #14 when working from home

How to motivate your assistant.....ok, his bowl is full, his litter tray emptied, his bed was washed a few days ago, I gave him lots of cuddles and a motivational speech and card with a promise of 'ruling the world' but unfortunately it did not work.... He is asleep on the job, once again!!

According to the law, you have to provide your employees with an enjoyable work environment... So .... a chair ?? Do you think that will do?? Or should I add a cushion??

Make sure you keep a free space on your shelf for your feline ornament/ assistant/ supervisor *
* Delete whichever does not apply!

Rule#11 when working from home

Make sure your cat does not obstruct the path to the keyboard, otherwise typing might become quite impossible...

Rule #10 when working from home

Make sure your assistant is actually awake when notes need to be taken.....

Rule #9 When working from home

Make sure you do not get distracted by the cuteness of your feline assistant and end up grooming and cuddling him/her instead of working....

Rule #8 When working from home

Make sure you have a good security agent in place, someone who will guard your most important tool come what may.... Nobody will touch this laptop without getting scratched!!

Make sure your assistant is not playing games on the iPad when there is work to be done....

Rule #6 when working from home

Opt for feline decoration instead of plants... Ok, they do not come cheap, and you have to feed them, groom them, take them to the vet.... Mmmmm, I guess plants are the better option, come to think of it....but on the other hand, having both does not work either, because the feline kind will eat/dig/destroy the plant kind...  This is clearly a case of one or the other.

Never leave your glass of water unattended, it will be claimed by your cat....

Rule #4 when working from home

Always have plenty of water around, but do not drink until thoroughly inspected by Ray....just in case any commuters try to poison it!!

Rule #3 when working from home

Make sure that when you do have to leave your assistant unattented they actually do do some work, and don't nap on the job.....

Rule # 2 when working from home

make sure you have someone on the lookout, to give you prewarning in case you have to answer the door to postman/DHLdelivery man/neighbour/mother-in-law so you have time to change out of your pyjamas! Meet Layla, keeping watch......

Wherever you are in the house, I will follow you.... I will stand besides you when the doorbell rings, I will check up on you during your shower.... I help you make the bed and I love helping when you change the sheets.... Emptying our litter tray is something that you can do on your own, nothing to do with me.... Do let me know when you finish emptying it though, I love to dig around in the clean litter tray!

Road bump

I am a road bump, you cannot pass me by without slowing down and giving me some attention... Go on, rub my tummy...... I won't scratch, promise!!

Not quite!! Although I really love my box from the wilderness, I am now completely enamoured with my pristine white box! And its best feature is the fact that it has a lid! I manage to crawl into it, whilst lifting the lid, and nobody knows I am there.... It has scared the wits out of Ophelia..... Great fun and undisturbed sleep.... Bliss!
